I set up a second monitor last night on my gforcefx ti 4200. I play urbanterror (quake3 mod) regularly, and was hoping to run some apps while in game. I was having some severe fps drops at first, but i dropped the color to 16 bit on the secondary monitor and set the hardware acceleration to multimonitor in the application profile of the game.
so all was well for the rest of the night and had no real fps problems after that. It ran at a steady 160fps where i have it maxed... but now i'm getting skips in-game.
The fps drops only about 10 but the game skips around at random times. basically one minute i'm running along in one direction then it skips and i'm headed back to where i was coming from.
Anyway, does anyone know any tweaks i can do to eliminate this problem?

Well, if nobody has any thoughts on that problem... I have another.
This dual setup doesn't like coming out of the screen savers. I use the windows text screensaver. It did return me to my desktop after about 3 minutes, but i lost my wallpapers and my mouse cursor changed, too. wtf?
Other than those problems, i don't see how i lived without this setup =)
