Hi,

I have the Trident CyberBlade XP Ai1 GFX card, and a Toshiba Satellite Pro, Celeron 1GHZ running windows 2000.

I am trying to use the multiple monitor feature of windows 2000, in particular I'm trying to use desktop expansion. I want to be able to use the LCD screen of the laptop to show certain windows and the external monitor to show other windows.

According to Windows help I can do this by:

"Selecting the Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor check box allows you to drag items across your screen onto alternate monitors"

Unfortunatley I cannot see this option! However I can get both screens to work simultaneously (showing the same output).

My driver version for my card is: v5.9030

Is this card capable of doing what I'm trying to do? and if so, how do I do it!?!?!?!

Any ideas appreciated.

Does anyone have any idea about this one?

Is there a list of video cards / laptops compatible with multi monitor setups?

Cheers,
Ben

If you already have the latest drivers for the card, the drivers most likely don't have multi-monitor support under Windows 2000.

Most likely it would work fine with Windows 98/Me and XP.

Thought that might have been the case.

Thanks for your help.
