i am planning to but matrox g450 off ebay.

i do not play games on the pc it is to be installed on, i will only be running music related stuff and just want to see more paramiters at one time on the desktop. CPU performance is my main issue rather than fast graphic as the apps i run are cpu (and sound card) processor hungry

do the agp and pci cards have any impact on this?

can i buy either and expect the same impact (if any) on my systems or should i be looking for one of the thwo specifically?

Thanks in advance

Graham

what ?? .......you can actually do that ??

The faster AGP bus helps reduce the time the CPU has to wait to access/update the video card. If the choice is otherwise equal, always go AGP for the video card (at least until the new PCI-X comes out to replace AGP).
