I have a 9800XT AGP as primary card (running two 21" FP) and a 9200 PCI running another two.

All works well for a while then on random occasions the 9200 displays get corrupted (best description is you see ghost trails where windows once were and random pixels and blocks apearing).

I first thought it was overheating but this hapens randomly and I have 7 fans in all cooling the case (which are controlled by a single temperature controller with 4 probes in various places).

The 9800XT gets to 100deg ish and the case is stable at 78deg which is just a little above room temp.

Does anyone know if the 9200 and 9800XT don't play nice together (they use the same Radeon drivers, latest version).

The 9800XT is Genuine ATI, the 9200 was boxed by Sapphire. Not sure if that will cause issues.

Let me know if anyone else has had this problem or similar.

Thanks

Tony

Hi. I also have a built by ati 9800PRO (not xt) 128MB AGP card. It runs one NEC FP2141SB as my primary monitor. I also have two (2) 9200 PCI 128MB cards to run my second and third NEC FP2141SB monitors. I have noticed corruption on whichever monitor is plugged in to the AGP ATI 9800PRO.

However I only see these boxes and pixels and colored lines etc like you describe when i play a full screen game. It doesn't matter what game. I have tried Neverwinternights GTA Vice city Battlefield Veitnam and 1942.

I gave up and bought an ATI AIW 9800PRO AGP and with this setup AIW 9800 + 9200 128MB x 2 I have expierenced no corruption. I am trying to exchange or return the 9800PRO but ATI has the worst customer service on earth. No 800 #, tech support and warranty etc offices in canada only so international long distance applies etc etc blah blah.

Also I notice that there is significant color difference between the main (9800PRO) and secondary and tertiary monitors(9200PCI). IF I stretch a windows explorer window across all three monitors the "white" background of the window looks "yellow" on the monitors hooked up to the PCI slots compared to the 9800PRO which looks cooler or bluish. God help me. Getting help from corporate america (or canada) after they have your cash is like getting a speeding ticket at the indy 500.
