For those of you who don't read SlashDot, they posted an article linking to info about a Linux system that runs 4 seperate desktops at one time (with each having their own keyboard, monitor, and mouse).
I wonder if it could be setup as two dual-monitor desktops.

BeTwin for Windows does the same. In it you can assign multiple monitors/keyboard/mouses to the same desktop, or assign any of them to their own desktop.
