G'day

Just picked up my new PC and intended to run dual monitors with the Albatron FX5200LP using the dvi out..

however I'm having issues as to getting Windows 2000 to recognise that there is a 2nd monitor (though the second monitor is mirroring the first)

any suggestions? I've downloaded the latest nView to no avail

regards

Turn off mirroring.

sorry, I should have explained this better

windows only recognised 1 monitor.. plugging a second into the separate outlet doesn't affect windows.. it still only recognises the 1 monitor

I assume my card is throwing the same information to both vga & dvi out

Yes. Turn off NVidia's mirroring so Windows will see 2 seperate monitors.

Thanks again for your patience..

I've searched both the nVidia properties, this forum and the internet, but cannot for the life of me find how to do this.

My apologies if it should be in the user manual, however one never came with my card.

I think NVidia calls it Clone mode. It should be in the docs.

PS: The docs are available for download, on the NVidia web site, from the same place you download the drivers.
