Hi,

I have a ATI 9600 PRO 128 DDR RAM.
(1x TV-out, 1x VGA and 1x DVI)

Running Windows XP pro with a Samsung 172V monitor.

Question: I wanna know if I can fit a second Samsung 172V on my radeon, using a DVI->VGA converter?

Is it also posible to get one long desktop, i.e. the clock on the 2nd monitor, with tray, and the "Start" button in windows on the 1st monitor?

What resolution will be max. for this 2-monitor-on-one-card-setup?

Thanks in Advance!

If you use a DVI to VGA you will be ok. the tray can be extened with applications. Ultra Mon being one of them. Not sure about your max res

Thanks! Wanted to know that before i spend 350 dollars for nothing! :$

Is the max. res. my Radeon's max? Or my monitor's max?

radeon will have a limit as will your monitor you can force the monitor to go a bit more however (not always safe)

OK, so a normal res. of 1280 x 1024 would be posible on both monitors?
Thats something my card can handle with ease and also my monitor...

Is there a way to know this before testing?

That res should work fine.
