hi,
are there any known problems with Matrox cards wenn using more than 10 screens?
I have 3 G450 MMS Quad cards properly installed and running. As soon as I activate the 11th screen via Ultramon, the pdesk.exe Matrox software returns an error message, so I cant configure the card's settings..
The screens are still working fine, I can change the _screen_ settings via Ultramon also on the 11th and 12th screen but not the _card_ settings with pdesk.exe, cause this tool returns an error message as soon as more than 10 screens get activated...
Is this a known issue? Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot, Alex

maybe I should add that I'm using Win2k... - would Win XP be a better choice regarding multi monitor issues in general?

That's most likely an issue with Matrox PowerDesk (pdesk.exe), I would recommend contacting Matrox Support regarding this issue.
Windows XP has improved support for dualhead video cards, but that's mainly a benefit for driver developers. In my experience Matrox always had good driver support on both Windows 2000 and XP.
