I am getting set up with 2 monitors and the off brand TNT2 PCI card I bought is not very clear. Any suggestions on which major manufacturer is still making the best PCI board? I want to run at 1024 x 768 with 16 bit color depth and 85 Hz refresh.

Thanks

I've got a TNT 2 Vanta running on as my PCI card. Seen as your only looking for a resolution of 1024x768 then the card you have should be fine. TNT 2 boasts of high resolutions....it can run 1024 at 200Hz with 32bit colour depth.....Tell me if i'me wrong but you can't get much clearer than that. If you want clearness then try investing in a new monitor.

Forgot to mention that if you wanted a brand name then i think you might aswell go for a G-force 2 MX....their reliable and theyre not much more expensive than the TNT2. Don't have much experience with Graphics card but as far as i'me aware and make of the G-force 2 MX will more than do for what your looking for.

Oh yeah....might want to try looking at Matrox aswell.

Look for Cornerstone to announce a new dual head PCI and AGP card based on the Matrox g450 later this week. You will find it at http://www.monitorsdirect.com
