Here is the setup I want to be able to use to play DVD's on my TV.

I have a matrox p750 card with two analogue monitors connected and I have also connected the card and the scart socket on my VCR through the RCA adapter and a RCA to scart cable.

I am unable to display a DVD on the my through my vcr, however when use powerdesk to adjust the video playback image for a TV the sample video appears on the tv with no problems.

The matrox tech people say that the card does not support scart output but by my reckoning if the card can output through RCA and i have got the right adaptor they should be no problem with displaying a DVD on my TV in the way I've described

Has any one else tried this configuration and got it to work sucessfully?

Thanks

Tony

I'm not familiar with the SCART connector, but I looked it up on the web. It seems to have some limitations.

It could be that the DVD you are trying to play uses some sort of copy protection, and the VCR prevents it from being displayed.

That could be it! I'll have to try just playing something else. and see if that works.
