On my center flat panel it has a DVI connector on it and my AGP video card has a DVI connection as well. From what reading I have done I think I have to get a DVI-D cable to use the DVI capabilities. I also wanted better performance so I wanted Dual Link. I wasn't 100% sure about what to buy so I decided to ask for some assistance and ask here. Here is the link to both my monitor, and my video card.

Yes, DVI will give a cleaner image than analog, but the speed won't be any different. Order an inexpensive DVI cable online. I'm sure somebody here knows of a good place to order cables. I think I've seen some posts before about places to order. Just don't get ripped off by paying $30+ for a cable at the retail stores.

PS: NewEgg.com has DVI cables for $14 + $4 shipping.

The price of the cable doesnt matter right now. What I am worried about is the type of cable I need. Whether I need a DVI-D dual cable or a DVI-I dual cable.

Either should work, since the DVI-I cable just adds the analog lines, which you wouldn't be using anyway. Just get any DVI-DVI cable.

Kyle,

Eric is correct regarding the cable. If you do any shopping on eBay, you can find a LOT of good deals there.

I found a cable for really cheap. I just thought I should post about it.

I've heard some bad things about TigerDirect (never used them myself), and they want $14.99 for the cable + $9.40 for ground shipping.

NewEgg has 6 foot and 10 foot DVI cables for $13.99 + $4 for Fedex Saver shipping, and I've ordered many things from NewEgg, and received them quickly.
