I've got 2 Matrox cards each with 4 VGA outputs. In control panel they are identified as e.g. "Samsung sync 715 on Matrox MMS450".
Is there anyway i can change this to say "Samsung sync 715 on Videocard out 1" or something to that effect. In summary, to change the name of the video card as shown in the display settings.

I have the same deal with my 2 video cards. I have 2 Geforce fx 5200's. (AGP,PCI) I would like to know as well if this is possible.

Well, I found lots of "DriverDesc" entries in my registry containing the "name" of my video card, but I don't know what happens if you change these, nor do I know which one to change.
Even if changing this did change the name of the video card, I'm not sure it wouldn't change the name of all of that same type of card in the system.
If anyone finds out more (by research or experimentation), please let us all know.
