Forums -> Multiple monitors -> Video-in stretched across both monitors

Hi all, I'm new to the world of dual monitors, and I'm wondering how feasible this would be. I would like to take a video signal from an Xbox, feed it into the video-in on a capable video card, and stretch the image across two monitors. It is important that exactly half of the image (left half and right half) appears on each monitor. Is this possible, and what kind of hardware/software would it require?

I would guess that it would be possible using a dual-out NVidia card in "one large monitor" mode (I don't remember the actual mode name). And if the card has VIVO too, you can use it for the video input also.

There are probably other methods that will also work. Maybe other people here will have some more ideas.

On nVidias it's called "Horizontal Span". Right click on the desktop, properties, settings, advanced button, GForce tab, nView display ssettings...
