I have a P4 Shuttle-format system SB51GNB with an Intel 82845G onboard graphics controller and an Nvidia 5200 PCI for the 2nd controller. I am running two Envision 19" LCD displays. Everything works fine and I currently have "mmtaskbar2" installed to give me a taskbar for the 2nd display. Again, all this works fine, but I thought I'd try UltraMon25 for the added features.

When installing ultramon25, I get the following error message:
Internal Errot 2203. C:\WINNT\Installer\4167e2a.ipi, -2147287035

I have the latest installer, no viruses, protection wide open on the installer directory, loggged in as administrator, downloaded another copy of ultramon25, etc, etc,
etc...

Any ideas, as this looks like a nice multi-monitor utility...

Try copying the .msi file to the root directory, for example C:\, and then run setup from there. This usually fixes 'access denied' errors.

The error message you got means that the installer was denied access to the file C:\WINNT\Installer\4167e2a.ipi.

I am having troubles installing Ultramon on Vista64 bit. I am getting the "Internal Error 2203. C:\Windows\Installer\XXXXX.ipi -2147024629" error.

I have tried moving the EXE, running the EXE as administrator and setting permissions on the folder to full control. This is on both the 2.7.1_en_x64 and the 3.0.0_en_x64 executables.

My guess would be that this is a general Windows Installer issue, do you also have this issue with other applications which use the Windows Installer, for example the Social Security Benefit Calculator?

I had this same error also with UltraMon_3.0.2_en_x32

I tried twice and got that error message. I decided to try again a 3rd time and on the 3rd time the program installed without once again giving me that error message.
