I am considering a 3-19" LCD setup. Since Matrox would only allow one to be on DVI, I've turned away from that option. I would love to do Surround Gaming, but I just don't think I'm willing to pay twice as much for half the acceleration, and THEN get a bad image on two monitors. Instead, I'm probably going to have a GeForce 6600 GT power the center (primary) and left monitors, and have a PCI GeForce 4 w/ DVI run the right monitor.
So, do any games make use of a second or third monitors without a Matrox card? I heard Quake 3 Arena can, is that true? (And would the 3rd monitor being on a second card be a problem?)
