Forums -> Multiple monitors -> ATI Quad card conflicting with LAN controller

Hello all. I have a resource conflict that I could use some help on.

My video card is an Appian Phoenix Radeon 9000 QD 4 head card (ATI based).

I have an Asus P5AD2 Premium motherboard with a Marvell 88E8053 Ethernet LAN controller.

The quad video board is conflicting for resources with the LAN controller. As a result the LAN controller doesn't load. If I use a regular single head ATI Radeon video card, the LAN controller loads fine.

In trying to fix the problem, I have disabled all unused hardware in the BIOS to free up resources. To no avail.

I have two items in my device manager that still cannot find enough free resources to load:

Intel 82801FB/FBM PCI Express Root Port - 2662
Intel 82801FB/FBM PCI Express Root Port - 2660

I have reloaded XP from absolute scratch, but that did not solve the problem.

How can I change the resource settings for the Appian board? Win XP device manager wont let me make resource changes to the Appian card.

Does anyone have this onfiguration working?

I don't know. Try a different PCI slot. Free up an IRQ. I use USB peripherals instead of PS/2.

Fred up an addiitonal IRQ and I/O... still no luck...

Any other thoughts anyone?
