Forums -> Multiple monitors -> AGP card cannot start after installing PCI card

I was running 3 monitors with a Radeon 9800 and a very old S3 PCI card. I wanted to add another monitor so I got a Radeon 9200 PCI card. The problem is Windows 2000 reported that the 9800 (AGP) cannot start (Code 10). I've tried several things:
- setting both AGP and PCI as primary in the BIOS
- change PCI slot (both cards have their own IRQs)
- install latest driver
Nothing seemed to work so far. It looked to me like these two cards are incompatible. Any help?

Thanks, Quan

you need to hit the DEL key to go into the bios and find the setting that says 'init. first display'. Change it to PCI (from AGP) cus old s3 cards won't work unless they are the primary display.

When you are get into windows, set your AGP card as your primary display. s3 card then goes to secondary automatically.

maybe move the 9200 down to pci slot 5 as well
