i have it hooked up butone of the monitors is a little green. When it is just that one monitor it looks good. what is wrong?

If both monitors look good, but one just looks greener than the other, then you should be able to go into the monitor's on-screen menu, and adjust the colors to match better. Also some video drivers also have color adjustments.
If one monitor turns green when you turn on the second monitor, then you might have an actual problem, or maybe it's just jealous of the new monitor.

sounds like a connection problem on the vga cable. some of the pins in the cable might be had it, or the connection isn't secured properly
