I have 6 monitors. I run several applications stretched across 2 or 3 monitors. Everything was fine until the boss made me upgrade from NT to XP. Now, when I lock to computer (switch user) to leave my cubicle, then return, each application is shrunk and moved to fit on single monitors. They also shrink if the password protected screen saver activates. They do not shrink when I logoff or shutdown. I just installed the trial version of Ultramon 2.5, but it does not seem to help. I do not have this problem with win2k at home. Can Ultramon help solve this major irritation?

I forgot to mention the applications: PowerDesk, Visual SlickEdit, Notepad, Excel.
Also, does anyone else have this problem?

I've noticed this as well occasionally.
UltraMon doesn't have an automatic workaround for this, but you can use scripts to save/restore window positions. You could then save window positions before locking the system, and restore them afterwards.
Scripts to save/restore window positions: SaveRestoreWndPos.zip

Thank you.
I created a batch file with... call "d:\data\bat\SaveWndPos.vbs" call C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe user32.dll LockWorkStation
A single click to lock and a single click after I unlock. That is a big improvement.
I am going to click the "buy" link right after "Post Message".

Follow up: I finally solved the real problem, by disabling the "Use Fast User Switching" option in Windows XP.
>Control Panel >User Accounts >Change the way users log on or off >Use Fast User Switching
Ultramon is working great with my 6 monitors. Thanks.
