Is there a ways to turn off "preview mode" on the second monitor?

This isn't supported, UltraMon uses the screen saver's preview mode in order to run the screen saver on the secondary monitor (otherwise all screen savers would run on the primary monitor).

thanx for the reply. i have what i consider to be the best matrix screen saver out there but i guess it's not supported on dual monitors. anyway...UltraMon is the bomb. thanx again.

If the screen saver has native multi-monitor support, which several of the Matrix screen savers have, assign it to the primary monitor, make sure preview mode is unchecked, and don't assign any screen savers to the secondary monitors.
The screen saver should then run on all monitors.
