I've had dual monitor working under Win 2K for about a month now, and finally had to revert back to Windows 98 for some old gaming problem. Anyways, I knew that I would have to do almost the same thing in 98 that I did in 2K for the dual monitor to work.

I was expecting a similar sort of problem as to what i got in 2K.....the computer boots but fails to activate one of the two graphics card. NOTE, I am still able to log in though. However, in Win98, I wasn't even able to do this.....It went through the blue Windows 98 screen before going all DOS styleee and then just hangs. The second monitor has a message on it saying that the graphics card has been activated, but from this point forward the computer hangs every time. I'me wondering if anyone has had any previous experience of a problem like this and knew how to solve it.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know what your graphic cards are, but you might want to check out Microsoft's Knowledge base about this problem. One example is Q187731 "Computer Stops Responding When Enabling Multiple Display Support" Other articles on this topic can be found by doing a search using the keywords "Multiple Display".
