Hi - I'm really impressed with both UltraMon and Realtimesoft's site. Thanks for help out where I am pretty new to the Multimonitor world (but hey isn't it nice *smile*)
Anyway - I have noticed a little issues with the Voodoo2 drivers, and with UltraMon - and was wondering if anyone could give some suggetions (or I have to go back to plan A which was get a better video card then the S3 Virge DX I was using before the Voodoo 2 became a possible option - the Virge DX causes "issues" with SBLive!) Hope someone can help - details of fault below
-------------------------------------------------
With both the GForce 2 MX, and the Voodoo 2 enabled, UltraMon is coming back and saying the following in the about.
2 monitors Current desktop: 2176x864 (0,0 - 2176,864)
Monitor 1 (primary): Settings: 1152x864, 32-bit color, 70 Hz refresh rate Coordinates: 0,0 - 1152,864. Workspace: 0,0 - 1152,864 Video card: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400 Device name: \\.\DISPLAY1
Monitor 2 (disabled): Settings: 0x0, 0-bit color, default refresh rate Coordinates: 0,0 - 0,0 Video card: NetMeeting driver Device name: \\.\DISPLAY3
Also everytime I try to disable the Secondary monitor or use the secondary monitor feature in UltraMon I get the following error report from the WinDoc.
Event Type: Information Event Source: DrWatson Event Category: None Event ID: 4097 Date: 5/14/2001 Time: 4:45:32 PM User: N/A Computer: MOON Description: The application, , generated an application error The error occurred on 05/14/2001 @ 16:45:32.420 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 10003CAC ()
Data: I can give you this information if you want - just didn't think it was good to post it in since it is - long.
Again hope someone has some ideas... (or a spare good PCI laying around *smile*)

Um - had some problems with my SBLive in Win2k - so while doing a lot of tests in trying to slove the midi problems I removed ACPI in Win2k - and did what I thought fixed the SBLive Midi distrotion problems..
Funny thing is - it also fixed the Voodoo2 Driver issue also...
2 monitors Current desktop: 2176x864 (0,0 - 2176,864)
Monitor 1 (primary): Settings: 1152x864, 32-bit color, 70 Hz refresh rate Coordinates: 0,0 - 1152,864. Workspace: 0,0 - 1152,810 Video card: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400 Device name: \\.\DISPLAY1
Monitor 2: Settings: 1024x768, 16-bit color, 75 Hz refresh rate Coordinates: 1152,0 - 2176,768. Workspace: 1152,0 - 2176,768 Video card: 3Dfx Voodoo2 Video (Display Adapter) Device name: \\.\DISPLAY2
I think what the problem was is that the Beta Voodoo 2 drivers didn't support ACPI (simular to problems with the Live!ware 3 drivers with SBLive) which probably means your programme would have been looking for a IRQ for the card, only it doesn't have one in that driver (only a DMA address)
Anyway - ACPI removed - computer running hotter - but now working wonderfully again :)
Boy gotta love little challenges like this :)

Glad you got it working, but it actually is a bug in UltraMon, unrelated to ACPI.
The problem was that UltraMon recognized the virtual NetMeeting display driver as the second monitor, instead of the Voodoo2. Apparently the display drivers were reordered due to removing ACPI, which caused UltraMon to work again.
The bug has already been fixed, updated versions of the affected UltraMon components will be included in Beta 4 (to be released this Saturday, May 19).

Hello I got a question about my 3d card ( nvidia geforce2 MX/MX 400 ) .I bought a new pc ( pentium 3 1000Mhz ) but now I can't play the game midtown madness 2 with my new 3d card I think. I could play the game on my old pc ( pent 2 350Mhz with maxi gamer phoenix). When I want to start the game, sometimes there appears a blue screen with fatal error, or there appaers an error text in word, which says that the game was'n shut down properly or that I have to redetect my video card, or sometimes I can enter the game, but then the graphics are really really bad, so you can't recognize a thing. Really strange, I downloaded already the only driver Nvidia offers on their homepage but it didn't help. Will I ever be able to play the game or not ? In the readme file of mm2 there are all kinds of errors, but to solve they always refers to the homepage of Nvidia, which isn't a solution at all in my opnion, and their site doesn't even work now... Thanks
