is there any consideration in a future release for the ability for designate which displays a the SmartTaskbar can be enabled for?
currently, SmartTaskbar is a do-it-for-all or do-it-for-none setting.
i can see a case for when a user running 3 or more displays may only want a smart taskbar enabled for certain monitors. the idea is some displays may be running a maximized app for most, or all of the time and not having a smart taskbar for that display would mean slightly more available screen space.
i currently run 3 displays and many times, on display #3 i will run a single maximized app such as VMWare or excel. a smart taskbar would be totally unnecessary in this case since there's only 1 program bound to the display and not having a taskbar would mean a precious extra row or two for my spreadsheets.

That's already part of smart taskbar. Just right click the smart taskbar and go to "add taskbar for", then simply put a check for the monitors you want the taskbar on.
You can even use "show task from" to have a taskbar on monitor 1 show the tasks that are on monitor 2.

no, changing the 'Add taskbar' doesn't remove it.
in fact, putting a checkmark next to #3 seems to add a second taskbar on top of the initial one...which seems like a bug since i can't concieve why you'd want two taskbars bound to the same display.
it seems the only way to remove the smart taskbar for #3 is to enable Auto-hide, and then de-selecting the 'Show Border When Hidden' option. it would be nice if this could be programed as one, seamless step (ie. give the user a menu to checkmark each display smart taskbar should be enabled for) without having to use this clumsier work-around.

To remove a taskbar, right-click it and select Close from the menu.
You can always add it again later via 'Add Taskbar for'.
By default, the tasks from the monitor without a taskbar will then be added to the Windows taskbar.
