I have a Geforce 6600GT card with 1 DVI. But i need to hook up one more DVI monitor.
Should i get a new 6600GT card with two DVI-connectors, or should i buy a new PCI card with 1 DVI?

depends on what you want to run a spanned desktop or an extended desktop.
if you want spanned, you'll need to buy a card that has two outputs.
the cheapest solution would be to buy a plain dual output pci card. this would also give you the extra option to connect a third display later. you can still play games off the primary card (6600).

[edit] a dual-head pci card costs <$50.

The reason i need a new card in the first place, is that 6600GT doesn't seem to work properly in Extended mode. In spanned and clone, both monitors (D-SUB and DVI) runs fine in 1680x1050. But when using extended, 1680x1050 is not available for the D-SUB monitor. I have no idea why, but i have tried everything without luck.
But when gaming, wouldn't there be problems when using a good card for one monitor, and a slower PCI card for the other monitor? Wouldn't one of the monitors get low framerate for instance?
