I just got an fx5200 to go with my 6600gt PCI-E card under the impression that using muiltple Nvidia cards would give you OpenGL accross all monitors. It doesn't work. Folding@Home, and windows OpenGL plugins in winamp stop on the fx5200...

It is urgent because I have only a short time to return the card, and this was the MAIN reason why I bought it.

My problem is, there is no OpenGL acceleration on the second Card (FX5200). ONly on the two monitors connected to the primary card.

Does OpenGL work on the 5200 when it is the only video card in the system? If you haven't tried that yet, then get openGL working with only the 5200 installed, then add the 6600 back in, and let us know what happpens.

The 5200 works when it is the primary monitor. In that case, OpenGL no longer works on the 6600GT and it's dual-viewed monitors. It seems to bve an either or thing, but I was under the impression that it should work.

I also posted this to another message, I am running the 6800 Ultra PCIe and a FX 5200 PCI on one setup and installed an AGP 6800 GT and FX5200 on a second setup this morning. No problems, but OpenGL is limited by the PCI bus on the 5200. The only problems I had were with drivers, 71.90 drivers and later appear to clear up any problems. I also do not have the Nview desktop manager running but don't think that is critical.

Keith, I don't get what you are saying.

Are you saying you DO get opengl on the second card, or you don't. For me, I can get OpenGL working on the card and monitors connected to the card that is the primary display in windows.

I can get OpenGL apps to render on the 5200, but only when it is the primary card in XP, and then it doens't work for the other card, and vice versay.
