Some HP/Compaq servers (and probably other brands) have 10 or more slots, and there are backplanes that have 10 or more slots. But I don't know what this person is using. It would be interesting to find out.

i'm inclined to think this claim in the database is bogus.
the "PCI Number Nine Imagine 128 Series 2e" is a very suspicious (aka fake) entry.

It is *VERY* unlikely that so many different videocards work together in multimonitor configuration. Also on a PCI system you (normally) only have 4 interrupts or the whole PCI bus, in a 6 slot system 2 slots share interrupts. Even MATROX own drivers don't like that. I got anything from bluescreens to system freezes.
I have tried with pure MATROX configuration (and MATROX has very good multimonitor support) the following combinations :
1. 3* G200MMS QUAD + G450DH PCI + G450DH AGP = 16 monitors, works and is usable. 4 QUAD cards without an AGP card is also ok, but slower.
2. Replacing the G450DH PCI with a fourth QUAD card = 18 monitors. BUT : One of the 18 monitors cannot be configured, it always stays deactivated. So I had 17 monitors. BUT : I got intermittend Windows Explorer crashes. Went back to 16 monitors, this seems to be the stable limit.
