I have configured an application (Active WebCam 5.8)shortcut to open on monitor 2 and have cleared the check box to "restore settings on application exit" however the application does not open on monitor 2. When I check the settings in the "UltraMon Display" dialog box the settings have returned to the original configuration. Any suggestions? Is there a file that the program needs to write to that could be designated as "Read Only"?

Most likely the application uses a Windows Installer shortcut, which can't be customized by UltraMon.

To verify this, open Properties for the shortcut, and take a look at the Shortcut tab, if the Target field is grayed out, it's a Windows Installer shortcut.

You would need to create a new shortcut manually for this application, to do this right-click the UltraMon icon in the system tray, select Shortcuts > New Shortcut from the menu, you can then select the executable for the application on the first page of the wizard.

The next release of UltraMon will no longer add the UltraMon tabs to Windows Installer shortcuts.
