The ultramon buttons on the title bar (Move Window, and Maximize to Desktop) are now showing with purple corners on them, which I assume is meant to be transparent.

Any reasons why this may be happening?

Haven't seen this myself so far, if possible please mail a screenshot showing the problem to support@realtimesoft.com.

I get this too - I'm running Windows XP SP2, with the custom styles hack.

I've uploaded a screenshot of the bug: http://quboid.net/files/UltramonBug.png

From my very limited knowledge of Windows API coding, it appears that the icon's transparency isn't rendering.

Yeah that's wot I'm getting, and I'm using a Visual Style aswell.

Thanks for the screenshots. I've been able to reproduce the issue with several visual styles, and am currently looking into it.

This issue has been fixed.

If you are using Windows XP or later, and you have downloaded UltraMon 2.6 before June 16, you might need to install the patch.

To check if the patch is needed, go to your UltraMon installation folder, usually C:\Program Files\UltraMon, right-click RTSUltraMonHook.dll and select Properties, then check which version you have installed.

If version 2.6.24.0 is installed, you already have the latest version and don't need the patch.

If version 2.6.23.0 is installed, download the correct patch for your system:

For Windows XP/2003: UltraMon26_x32_wxp_patch1.zip
For 64-bit Windows x64: UltraMon26_x64_wxp_patch1.zip

Installing the patch:

1) close UltraMon
2) extract the ZIP file to your UltraMon installation folder

If you get an error message when trying to replace a file, rename the existing file, then extract the new file from the ZIP. You'll be able to delete the renamed file after logging off or rebooting.
