I know this must be a dumb question but i've spent the last hour trying to get this to work. I'm on version 2.6 and want to move my Start menu to Monitor 1. (my left screen monitor).

How can I do this please (in dummy langauge)

assuming you've already enabled display #1 under display properties...then:

1) if you're running XP, right click on the taskbar and make sure "Lock the Taskbar" is not enabled.

2) left click on the taskbar and keep the mouse button depressed. then drag the taskbar across to the monitor of your choice. a ghost outline of the taskbar will show you where the taskbar will be moved to once the mouse button is released.
