In simple terms I want whats on my desktop to be the same as my plasma monitor/TV
on the other side of the wall no large scrolling its to show pictures and such

That's called mirroring, and is usually an option in the video card driver software. You can also do it with UltraMon, but the best way is via the video driver software.
