Hi! am not sure if these problems are solvable if so then they are suggestions!

Is there a way to default certain programs to load in specific monitors?

Is it possible to properly stretch the taskbar across the monitors so that the clock is on the right hand monitor? Then again that hardly makes any difference so doesn't really matter.

Is it possible to strech movies across multiple monitors while they are playing?

How about program windows? but also fullscreen?

And could there be a 'show desktop' button on BOTH monitors? one for each?

Thankyou very much!

You can do this by customizing the application's shortcut. Right-click the shortcut, select Properties from the menu, then configure the settings on the UltraMon - Window tab as desired.

UltraMon currently doesn't support this. This feature will be considered for UltraMon 3.

UltraMon has no special support for this, you can usually do this by disabling DirectX hardware acceleration for both monitors under Display Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot.

Please note that some video players might not work with DirectX acceleration disabled.

> How about program windows? but also fullscreen?

You can maximize windows to the desktop by clicking on the Maximize to Desktop window button added by UltraMon, or with a Maximize to Desktop hotkey (under UltraMon Options > Hotkeys).

Maximizing fullscreen applications to the desktop, especially games, will most likely not work properly though, either the application can't be desktop-maximized, or will no longer work correctly after having been desktop-maximized.

Per-monitor Show Desktop is planned for UltraMon 3.

wow thankyou very much!!

and also, this may be a long shot, is it at all possible to disable a monitor in ultramon/windows display settings simply by physically switching it off? It is a nice idea speed wise

cheers

UltraMon doesn't support this (neither does Windows).

Putting a specific monitor on standby is something I'm going to look into for UltraMon 3, but I don't know yet if it can actually be done.
