I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 running Windows XP. It has a build in NVIDEA Go5200 video adapter that supports an external monitor. When I'm finished using the laptop, I suspend the laptop and turn off the external monitor.
If the external monitor isn't turned on before I resume the laptop, the laptop drops into VGA mode. I tried setting up a monitor profile in NVIEW and assigning it to a hotkey but NVIEW keeps forgetting the hotkey assignment.
Would anyone have suggestions on how to best deal with this?
