On my windows 98 I have a 16MB Diamond Viper TNT AGP Video Card. I'm considering purchasing an additional video card at Best Buy: GeForce MX 4000
Will this card work for me? What else is worth considering before I purchase?

Upgrading you whole PC might be a better idea if you are running Win98 and that card - sounds like it's a museum piece...
