I'm getting a laptop with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 integrated graphics system, which, being crap, does not support multiple monitors. I want to know whether I can still get my laptop monitor (12") running alongside a 19" external TFT by buying something like the Sidecar or VTBook. How will getting either of these two addons affect the 3D performance of the system? Will one monitor be faster than the other?

Also, is it possible to boost graphics performance past the capabiltiies of the Intel GMA 900 by buying a top PCI graphics card and connecting it to the laptop with a cardbus PCI expansion system like the Magma CB2? Again, will this cause differences in the framerate of each monitor during intensive 3D tasks?

Thanks for your help

I forgot to add, in case it's important the other system specs are:

Pentium M 760 processor
Intel 915 chipset
1 Gig shared DDR SDRAM
Win XP
