Is there a way to use the group by similar applications on my secondary taskbar? I tend to run multiple copies of the same applications (IE for example) and utilize XP's Group similar applications to give me just one icon on the taskbar. This works on my primary monitor, but not on the secondary.

UltraMon taskbars currently don't support task grouping. Support for this will be considered for UltraMon 3.

Just thought I'd reply to this to show that there is a demand to this request.

Yes, this is very very desired. In fact, I came here to the forum specifically looking for info on why grouping was not working for me.

hmm...
Maybe this realtes to the topic in some way. I was also wondering about the Ultramon shortcuts.
I simply need to use for example Firefox, Skype and Winamp in my vga-monitor or in my Flat panel on the wall. depending on where I happen to be.
So it it possible to create multiple shortcuts for the same app. Only with the difference of which monitor they will appear.
I found Ultramon - window & Ultramon - display sections in shrotcut properties but they seem to be working not so fluently. Like with Firefox, I created seperate shortcuts for both monitor and setup them accordingly.. they still appear on the same taskbar on the same monitor?
I guess its also depending on the app itself. For example in Skype, i doubt that its possible to have multiple intances of the same chat window.. haven't found out yet..
Thanks!

This won't work with Firefox, the problem is that UltraMon can only position the first instance of Firefox.
Should work fine though with Internet Explorer.

I'd also like to cast my vote for the taskbar grouping feature.

I'd like to use this software but I always have so many windows open that I depend on the grouping and a cluttered "extra" taskbar does me no good. I will definately purchase this software if grouping is added.

Maybe version 3? Haven't tried it but it sure would be nice if it respected my registry change from that Tweak UI tool (I don't like the default group number).

Task grouping is not in 3.0 Beta 1, but it's something I'm going to look into for a later release.

I came to the forum looking for this topic. I have 20 of the exact same windows running on my Ultramon taskbar, would really appreciate this feature.
BTW, I had the problem where the buttons trailed behind when dragging a while back, all gone in that update, thanks.
