Hi,
I have a problem, when playing videos my computer disables power management completely. My screen saver is set to activate after 7 minutes and my monitory to turn off after 20 min, however, my monitor never turns off. I have search for hours trying to solve this problem with no resolution, any help would be appreciated.
I am running windows xp with all the updates (sp2 + wmp 10 etc).
Cheers, Rajiv

Do you have this problem with WMP or VideoSaver?
WMP seems to prevent the screen saver from getting activated, that's most likely by design, for example for watching DVDs, but VideoSaver shouldn't prevent the monitors from getting turned off.
I tested on Windows XP SP2 with VideoSaver 3.1.

Unfortunately I don't know what might cause this with VideoSaver as well, works fine on my system, the monitors get put on standby after the specified number of minutes.
