I was amused by the recent post regarding the painting of monitors. But I gave it a try on a monitor that I had to disassemble anyway to replace the cable. I was amazed at how easy it is to take these things apart. I painted the case with a "Hammer Finish" metallic gray paint. FANTASTIC! Soon both of my main monitors were apart and undergoing paint jobs. You would not believe how much better my desktop looks now. Instead of these huge beige boxes, I have "designer" looking monitors that are actually attractive. Since my work station is in my dining room, this is a real bonus. When my wife and daughter saw them, they immediately wanted theirs "done" too. So now, it seems, I'm in the painting business!
