Hi,
I'm new to the forum and would be grateful if anyone could help me.
I'm thinking of getting 2 geforce 7800gt, in order to run 3 monitors. From searching the forums, I understand that in SLI mode only the 2 outputs on the primary card will work, but if SLI is switch off then all 4 outputs will work. Also am i right in thinking that you can switch SLI on/off without reboot?
My question is this. If I use three monitors with SLI mode off while i'm working and then switch to SLI mode on with only one monitor while gaming, will this mess up the placement of my 3 monitor desktop and reset the position of all the icons when I switch the SLI off again?

Probably, but there are many programs available to remember your icon positions for different resolutions (Does UltraMon do that too?).
