Hello all,
First time posting so go easy on me ;-)
I am trying to setup 4 monitor system and later 6. What I have now: System * AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800+ (Dual Core) 64 Bit Socket 939 1024K Cache * 2GB PC 3200 DDR400 Dual Channel * GeForce 6600 256Mb DDR PCI EXpress * Windows XP Pro.
Monitor Dell 2405 FPW - 24" widescreen 1920x1200 Samsung - 19" 1280x1024
What I am getting: 3 pc: Dell 2405 FPW 2 pc: BFG GeForce 7800 GT OC PCI Express 256MB
I'll be using this setup for: *Open large spread sheets with 2 or 3 word files. *Financial data streaming off the internet *Play avi file using windows media player mostly. *I want to play large avi file on one monitor while open spread sheets on two monitor and word files on last monitor.
Question: * Is above system will be sufficient? * How about video card called - Xentera GT8 PCI - for 8 monitor Xentera GT4 PCI express - for 4 monitor
Has anyone heard or used it? How is it?
* Which way should I go? 2 pc 7800 GT or 1 pc Xentera?
Any reply would be appreciated.
Regards, Jonathan

if you think you will be using 6 displays, then you should buy a quad capable card (unless you wanted to run a spanned desktop, in which case, you should get the 8 and swap out the current card). besides the xentera, nvidia also makes quad display cards.

Thanks Tantalus ;-)
I ordered three dell 2405FPW and it's on it's way. I should have them Monday or Tuesday. I paid $889 each + $56.12 (shipping), total $2,723.12
Quad disply monitor do not have high resolution. I want native display of 1920x1200.
I am thinking: 2 pc: ASUS EN7800GTX/2DHTV/256 - $479.99 each or 2 pc: Asus Extreme N7800GT - $389.99 each I read some place that 7800GTX produce too much heat, more than 70C? I wonder if it wouldn't cause any problem in long run.
I assume asus will work best since mother board is asus. Am I wrong? Any suggestions?

buying asus branded video cards isn't going to give you better compatibility than any other vendor such as BFG, PNY, powercolor, etc. they're all using the same nvidia chipset.
just be sure to spec out & double-check the 'Max Digital Display Support' for the card you decide on since you'll be running running LCD's and this some places only quote the analog spec since it is higher (and thus looks better spec-wise).
