My client wants to display different pictures on 5 lcd monitors.
Can someone advice me what the hardware setup should be.
Do you know what software can be used to refresh each monitor with a new picture after x seconds. Should this be a simple screensaver?

You could get a single quad or 2 dual PCI video cards in addition to the main video card to drive all 5 monitors.
To display the pictures, you could use a screen saver such as gPhotoShow.
