I'm trying to get a Samsung HLR5667W HDTV to work with the VGA out of my laptop. I know the PC input on the tv works - my wife's dell latitude can drive it. I know my own laptop's vga out works, since I've used it with a projector.
What happens is that when I use Uultramon to Enable Secondary, the TV switches from its 'no signal' message to its 'not supported mode' message. So clearly the vga signal is being activated. But none of the Display Settings for Mon 2 lead to picture, even settings like 800x600 which are listed in the tv manual as a supported mode.
Tried ultramon, tried multires and power strip; nothing seems to let my laptop work with this particular monitor. Tried new drivers. XPSP2.
Please -- any suggestions welcome
