I have recently put in a second vid card (a ATI Radeon PCI) to use a second monitor. I seated the PCI in the top PCI slot right below my AGP, and installed it properly (it installed after placing config.nt and autexec.nt in my system32 folder because it wouldn't install with MS-DOS). Both cards are installed properly and functioning according to Device Manager (running XP).
I ran a dxdiag and only the AGP card showed up. My problem is my second vid card (the PCI) won't even detect that a monitor is plugged into it, my monitor always displays "Check Video Connection"
Please can someone help I've been trying to get this to work for 2 weeks.

Is the monitor connected to the PCI video card enabled under Display Properties > Settings?

plug your primary monitor (the one you know that works) and plug it into the pci and set PCI to main, (remove AGP) see if it works, make sure both monitors work with PCI being only card,
Process of elimination, find where the problem is

Something else you could try is to install the PCI card into a different PCI slot, sometimes video cards don't work in every slot.
