Hi All,
I am looking to drive a 3D application across four displays to form one continuous image. I am currently in the process of specifying a system and I am wondering if a dual Quadro FX 4500 PCIe system (or dual 7800GTX for that matter) can do the job.
The application may require a desktop in horizontal span mode but I am not sure if this is possible across two cards. Can anyone advise me on this?
many thanks in advance

Horizontal span mode won't work across multiple cards, only across the monitors connected to a single card.

many thanks.....
The Gigabyte GV 3D1 68GT graphics card apparently supports four displays. Would horizontal span mode work on this card?
Any one have experience with this card?
cheers, JayDee

Dual 7800's would call for a sweet system. Most DirectX and OpenGL games dont require the desktop to be in span mode. I can currently run Quake 3 just fine on my 5200/6600 three monitor system, along with games like UT2004 and Flight Sim 2004. having dual 7800's would result in one badass system. Only issue i have is subtle sound distortion from my PCI audigy card, but you most certainly wont have this problem (plenty of bandwidth with PCI-E).

MasteR (?) can you list all the games you've got to work with 3 monitors on your 2-card system?
