Hi,
I used to have a Matrox video card and it's driver software provided an option to snap a window to the edge of the screen. Now that I don't have a Matrox video card anymore I'm quite starting to miss this functionality.
Since I'm using UltraMon I was thinking, wouldn't it be a nice feature to include in UltraMon? With this functionality you'll have less problems positioning a window which can't be maximized to the screen. It will e.g. prevent the window border from appearing on an other screen if you want to position it as close to the edge of the screen as possible.
This feature would require two additional settings in the preferences: - An checkbox to enable and disable snapping - An input field to specify the snapping margin amount in pixels.
If a window comes within the specified margin it will snap/move the window to the edge of the screen, depending on its position (left, top, right, bottom or a combination of two). The margin should only count on the inside of the screen, so if a window is positioned over the edge of one monitor on purpose it won't take any action.

Thanks for your suggestion, will be considered for UltraMon 3.

I wrote a script to allow hotkeys to snap a window to any of the four corners of the screen. You can search the forums for my script to limited snapping functionality.
