Forums -> Multiple monitors -> Vanta + GTXP + Win2K = Bad Sound in Dual Monitor

Here are the requsite system specs:
Abit KT7
Athlon 1GHz
512 MB RAM
Win2K SP2
AGP: Leadtek GF3
PCI 1: (none)
PCI 2: Herc GTXP
PCI 3: nVidia TNT Vanta
PCI 4: Promise IDE Ultra100 Controller
PCI 5: ATI TVWonder
PCI 6: D-Link 10/100 NIC

Now, my problem is that the GTXP and the Vanta are sharing IRQ 5, so when the second monitor gets any sort of heavy movement (i.e. scrolling, dragging, vidplaying), the sound starts to skip and chop. Obviously, this is a PCI bus / IRQ sharing deal.

I've set up my Win2K box as a "Standard PC", without the ACPI... er... stuff.

Any ideas to get things running smoothly? I really like the dual monitor setup, and would like to keep it. But if I can't do anything on the second monitor without my manditory tunes getting chopped up like Emeril's latest victim, I'll have to ditch it.

Thanks.
