Hello,

is it possible to change display profiles depending if my laptop is undocked/docked?

In clear words:
If i dock my laptop at the docking station, i want display profile "X" to activated.
If i undock my laptop from the docking station, i want display profile "Y" to be activated.

Possible with UltraMon? I haven't found the according option yet, only hotkeys.

Thanks a lot!

UltraMon doesn't support applying a profile in response to the system getting docked/undocked, you would need to apply the profile manually.

Please note that UltraMon usually can't change the primary monitor on laptops, this might be a problem.

Oh...will UltraMon be capable of this in future? I think this is a very common usecase. especially when using the laptop in a business environment. I work for Audi AG/ Ingolstadt and everybody in my office would need that feature because it's annoying changing the profiles everytime manually when hurrying to a meeting...

Thanks a lot!

I'll consider support for this for UltraMon 3.

Regarding changing the primary monitor on laptops: this is also something I'm going to look into for UltraMon 3, but I don't know yet if it's actually possible.

Hello Christian,

thank you for your help!
Switching the primary screen is very helpful as well, since many users have external screens which are way larger than the internal one.

We use mainly Thinkpads in our office, and everybody is annoyed because the presentation manager isn't capable to do this un/dock thingy right.
I hope this feature will be implemented in UltraMon3, you can be sure that we'll buy some licenses then ;)

Thanks a lot!
