hi i have set up 2 monitors on my radeon 9800 pro and i have installed ultramon. i would like to know if it is possible to play counter-strike source with a larger resolution. if its possible, how do i do? is it only possible with that matrox thing?

i read a lot of posts and what i try to do is get the thing to work in span mode is it possible?

Usually for gaming you'd make it work by editing the games ini files and setting a custom resolution. It also usually requires running the game in windowed mode but then just setting the resolution to the size of your combined monitors.
