Hi, I currently have one 19" LCD, and wanted to add a second. I was looking at the viewsonic vx2025wm, and saw that its native resolution was 1600x1080. My current monitor is 1280x1024, and I was wondering if I could run the two monitors with their native resolution in span mode (desktop stretched across both)? It would be nice to play games across both if the middle of the desktop was on the right edge of the vx2025 instead of between the two monitors due to the different resolutions... I also would want to watch movies across both. I have an nvidia pci-x 6800gt and both monitors would be dvi. Is it possible to have a desktop in span mode at 2880x1024? Or do they both have to run the same 1280x1024 resolution for this to work? Also debating getting a 2nd 19" instead, but would like the extra screen space of the wsxga vx2025wm... Currently testing with my 19" lcd and a 17" crt I had sitting around, but cant find out how to get span mode to work with different resolutions... Running 2560x1024 right now.

Span mode only works for the same res monitors on the same physical card. You have to use regular Windows Extended Desktop mode for monitors of different resolutions, which is great for regular 2D apps, but might not help with your 3D games.
