Hi,
A wonderfull program with one, for me, very anoying feature.
I use Remote Desktops a lot with a fixed resolution of 1024*768 on my larger screen. When Ultramon is not loaded I can easily maximize the windows (thus beeing at 1024*768) and move them around. When I load Ultramon the windows are glued to the top left corner of my screen.
Is it possible to awoid this from happening? (The gluing to the top left cornor). If so, I will buy a license right away :)

To fix this, restore the Remote Desktop window to normal size, then resize it so that the scrollbars are no longer visible.
The problem is that Remote Desktop windows don't act like regular maximized windows, which causes problems with UltraMon's feature for moving maximized windows with the mouse.

Hi Christian,
Thanks for the reply. I already found that workaround. But I would really like a solution that does not require me to use my mouse to drag the window size every time I open a window. Normally I can use the keyboard shortcuts for maximizing in no time.
Do You have a solution commin up for this Microsoft bug?
Thanks in advance!

Probably not for UltraMon 2.x, but I'm considering adding support for disabling the 'move maximized windows with the mouse' feature for specific applications in UltraMon 3.
How are you launching the remote session? I'm using a Remote Desktop shortcut, and the window position/size gets saved when you close the session.

I have a saved .rdp file (eg. on my desktop). When I active that file as session is opened in a maximized window. When i click "restore" a small window is created.

I did some testing and noticed that window position saving only works if you launch Remote Desktop via a shortcut to the Remote Desktop executable, mstsc.exe.
One thing you could do is create the shortcut to mstsc.exe, run it, position the window as desired, close the window, then add the .rdp file as an argument to the shortcut, for example:
%SystemRoot%\system32\mstsc.exe "C:\Documents and Settings\Christian\My Documents\Default.rdp"
The session will then open at the saved position.
