Forums -> Multiple monitors -> Odd flickering/scan line problem when both monitors are @ the same refresh rate.

I have a Matrox G-400 max, and two new Dell/Samsung 17" LCD screens. Optimal refresh for them is 60hz, but I have to run the 2nd at 75hz or the primary begins to flicker, and gets a moving scan line thing (like CRT monitors have when you see them recorded from a video camera).

I guess this is an accepable solution, (if going over the recommended refresh rate is not going to hurt anything) but the 2nd monitor looks much nicer than the primary, and I'd like to have the primary refresh that high to look like that.

I'm running the matrox power desk software, and the monitors are right next to each other. Moving them doesn't help, nor does switching the cables or the output in software.

Any obvious solutions that I'm overlooking?

Thanks.
